Through the Merchant Categories, it is possible to group merchants by type to facilitate the user’s search.
For example, by grouping a series of merchants under the heading “Hotels that accept pets”, the user requesting this service will be facilitated as only hotels belonging to this category will be shown in the search results.
How to view merchant categories and create a new one:Settings -> Merchant category -> +New
The customization page of the new category will be the following
With “Parent Category” we refer to the category to which the NEW category that will be created will refer (In the example above the Parent Category will be “Hotel”)
Fill in the remaining text fields as desired.
Go to the Settings section
Go to the Settings section
Select the merchants who will belong to the new category and set the limits as desired (Limit of the number of resources present and validity in days of the resources present in the category) in the case of bookable resources or for sale, according to the specific case.
Go to the Advanced Options section if you want to make changes.
If you want to have a view used classically by hotels, it is advisable to select “group results by merchant in the search” to view the merchant (eg Hotel) and all the corresponding available resources (eg rooms) once. If, on the other hand, you prefer to have a typical view of real estate agencies, you can remove the selection so that the search results in every single resource (eg apartments).
