Payment methods

In this section it is possible to define the payment methods through which to conclude customer reservations.

How do I reach this section?

From the main menu: Settings -> Payment Methods

Bookingfor allows you to manage many types of payment, from a simple booking request, to direct payments with Paypal, Setefi, Keyclient, Pagonline, …
It is important to correctly select and manage payment methods to allow site visitors to complete the better the online booking process.
Bookingfor does NOT charge any type of transaction fees.

If enabled by the administrator, the payment methods that can be activated by the merchant are:

  • Immediate payment via Paypal
This solution allows you to charge the desired amount upon completion of the booking. The customer is sent to the Paypal site to make the transaction as the last step of the booking.
To activate this payment method it is necessary to have a Paypal Business account and follow these instructions (in the “Separator” field enter an x).
The payment amount can be: managed by the cancellation terms, for the entire amount of the reservation, for a percentage, for a fixed amount, … Finally, you can enter a description of the payment to give more information to the user.
  • Immediate payment via bank gateway
This solution allows you to charge the desired amount upon completion of the booking process. The customer is sent to the bank’s website to make the transaction as the last step of the booking.
To activate one of the available payment gateways, you need to ask your bank for the access codes to the payment system. Without these codes it will not be possible to activate the connection.
The payment amount can be: the full amount of the reservation, a percentage or a fixed amount. Finally, it is possible to enter a description of the payment to give more information to the user.
  • Credit card as guarantee
With this solution no transaction takes place, only the details of the customer’s credit card are sent to the merchant. The merchant through his POS will be able to carry out the charges.
The value of the deposit can be: the full amount of the reservation, a percentage or a fixed amount. A description can be entered to give more information to the user.
  • Bank transfer With this solution the payment is postponed, the user is in fact invited to make the payment by bank transfer through his own bank.
The payment value can be: the full amount of the reservation, a percentage or a fixed amount. We recommend that you enter the IBAN coordinates in the description field and the methods / times for making the payment.
  • Cash payment By
selecting this method, the user is invited to make payments directly on site.
The payment value can be: the full amount of the reservation, a percentage or a fixed amount.
A description can be entered to give more information to the user.
  • Booking request
With this method, reservations are not made but simple Booking Requests, the deferred Booking approach is therefore used (the booking is not guaranteed and is not confirmed but is awaiting confirmation. The merchant can refuse or accept the request and thus convert it into a reservation.).

What should I do now!

After creating your payment methods, you need to link them (all or some) to a cancellation term in order to activate them on your page. Find out how to associate a new payment method with a Cancellation Policy.
